About

Rosemary & Ian Locock Photography

Husband and wife team Rosemary & Ian Locock share a passion for photographing the natural world. We have travelled to many parts of the world capturing wildlife images and have particular experience of the African countries.

For many years we have undertaken safaris in South Africa, Zambia, Botswana and most recently Kenya. We are now able to offer the special experience of a Kenyan safari to other wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.

We also sell our photography at events locally and online via this website.

Rosemary

Ian’s entry into the world of photography was way back in 1980, when he bought his first SLR camera and a couple of lenses. Over the years his interest developed into mainly landscape photography with the occasional venture into sports photography. All that was before Rosemary & Ian Locock Photography was born.

His passion for wildlife photography was the result of a safari in Botswana back in 2007 and the change to a digital SLR camera. Wildlife remains his main interest with his images being used by BBC Springwatch, the BBC Nature website and by the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

Ian now hosts the Kenyan safaris with Rose as well as running his very successful photographic workshops. When time permits, he also continues to capture award-winning landscapes.

Rosemary has had a long held passion for photography, but it wasn’t until she owned her first DSLR that her abilities as a serious photographer came to the fore. Her lifelong love of wildlife and safaris in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Kenya have resulted in some magnificent images of African wildlife.

Concentrating solely on wildlife, Rosemary has produced a number of award-winning images and had pictures featured in a number of publications.

Combining her love of African wildlife with her photographic skills and her undoubted organisational abilities, Rosemary now successfully hosts safaris in the Masai Mara in Kenya. She is constantly searching out new locations to add content to the Rosemary & Ian Locock Photography portfolio.
